So you are looking to buy a hydration pack for you cycling (probably mountain biking right!). There are a load out there and we had a bit of a time choosing ourselves.
Luckily for us we had the Two Wheels Better community to turn to and ask the most important question that you might have to ask in your life…….(or in the next 5 seconds of your life at least).
What is the best hydration pack for cycling?
The truth is that there is no right or wrong pack but there are a few things that you might want to consider.
- How long do you generally ride for?
- Do you do a lot of technical riding?
- How much do you generally drink on a ride?
- Are you going to need to lug a whole bunch of tools and food?
- Will it hold vodka…..(Oi who sneaked this one in here)
In general we would suggest that you try and get the smallest pack that still suits all of your needs, as adding a bunch of weight will only slow you down and make your ride a lot less fun. We generally have 2 packs a basic Camelbak for short rides that only need us to carry some water and a spare tube and a BTWIN 700 Hydration pack (cause it’s cheap) but this isn’t about our choice this is about the community. So without further ceremony here are;
